We've stopped drinking animal milk and started on rice milk and soy milk fortified with calcium. We haven't eaten anything unhealthy. In fact we haven't used any table salt for any dish. We've been relying on basil, oregano, vinegars, and lemon juice to flavor.
Anyway the diets calls for...
A reduction in
- Canned vegetable
- boiled, canned, fried vegetables
- white flour
- frozen, breaded, fried, canned, smoked, red meat, hot dogs, deli meat, pork proteins
- nuts and seeds that are salted, roasted, bulk, eating in large quantities
- saturated & trans fats
- Fresh fruits and vegetable (korean pears, grapes, carrots, tomatoes, celery, brocoli, cauliflower)
- Legumes
- whole grains
- unsalted + unroasted nuts (we've been eating raw almonds)
- poultry and fish ( although he is not a fish fan, I got Shawn to eat flounder!)
- Essential Oils
- Healthy fats
- freshly made fruit and veggie juices
- raw vegetable
- broccoli
- salmon
- turkey
- organic eggs
We've Completely Avoided
- coffee, cola
- chocolate
- red meat
- dairy
- refined sugars
- salts
- processed foods, take out foods
- high glycemic foods
- artificial flavorings
Three more days of this and we'll see how it goes. Boy do I miss rice!
